Soil testing work for implementation of the Sabarimala (Dharmasastha) Greenfield Airport project commenced on September 20, 2022. The project involves development of a greenfield airport at Sabarimala in Kerala, on a public-private partnership (PPP) basis, at an investment of Rs 25 billion. It will include world-class aviation infrastructure such a terminal building, runways and taxiways, as well as various landside and airside aviation facilities.
