Acquisition of land takes place for Nagaland’s Chiethu Greenfield Airport

The Nagaland government has acquired 1,013.72 acres of land for implementation of the Chiethu Greenfield Airport project. It will be transferred to the AAI soon. The state government has decided to construct a runway of 2,750 m length (without any load restriction). The project invol­ves the construction of a greenfield airport in Cheithu in the Kohima district of Nagaland, with an estimated cost of Rs 88.7 billion.
