The Union Government is expected to inaugurate Terminal 2 of the Kempegowda Airport under the Bengaluru International Airport expansion project, Phase II (Kempegowda Airport) on November 10, 2022. The necessary work is being done under Stage I of the project, which will increase capacity by 25 million passengers per annum. The project involves expansion of the existing Kempegowda airport in Bengaluru and its estimated cost is Rs 159.78 billion.
