CPCL commissions new sulphur recovery unit at its Manali refinery

Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited, a subsidiary of IOCL, has commissioned a new sulphur recovery unit at its Manali refinery at a cost of Rs 5.7 billion. The unit will process high-sulphur crude on a continuous and sustainable basis. The facility will convert hydrogen sulphide gas generated by the refinery to elemental sulphur and reduce the amount of sulphur compounds released into the atmosphere.
