Japan International Cooperation Agency the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and MoR have signed a Record of Discussions for the Project for Station Area Development along Selected Stations of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (HSR) Project. Its key objective is to plan the development of areas surrounding the Mumbai-Ahmedabad HSR stations, in order to enhance accessibility and convenience for commuters and other stakeholders and to promote economic activities. Under this, Japanese experts will assist India in framing the modalities for the transit function of the stations and in station area development.
