The union government has sanctioned funds of Rs 5,624.5 million for the Akhnoor-Tain Br-Poonch two/four laning road project (NH-144A). The project involves upgradation, widening and strengthening of a 35.38 km-long road stretch to two lanes with paved shoulder on Akhnoor-Poonch road on National Highway (NH)-144A in the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir. It will be executed under Project Sampark by the Border Roads Organisation on EPC mode.
