Vistara leads to higher position in aviation domestic market

Vistara became the second biggest airline by domestic market share in July 2022. Its market share stood at 10.4 per cent with a passenger traffic count of 1.01 million. The airline started commercial operations in January 2015. While the leading airline was IndiGo with a 58.8 per cent market share, the number three, four and five positions were taken by Air India (8.4 per cent), GoFirst (8.2 per cent) and SpiceJet (8 per cent). Vis­tara had a 7.5 per cent market share in January, which rose to 9 per cent in subsequent months.
