The Maharashtra government flagged off a metro rake for the Mumbai Metro Phase I Line 2A Project (Dahisar-DN Nagar) and the Mumbai Metro Phase III Line 7 Project (Andheri East-Dahisar East) on August 15, 2022. The 18.6 km long Dahisar-DN Nagar corridor, a part of the Dahisar-Bandra-Mankhurd (Line 2) metro, will connect Dahisar and DN Nagar in Maharashtra at an investment of Rs 64.1 billion. Consisting of 17 stations, it will be entirely elevated and will have a car depot at Charkop.
