Construction work on the terminal building under the Noida (Jewar) International Greenfield Airport project is likely to commence in August 2022. Currently, work on a support building has commenced, while an 11 kV capacity substation has been set up at the site to meet the initial power requirement of the project. Meanwhile, work on the boundary wall is in the final stages. The project involves the development of a greenfield airport in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, at an investment of Rs 295.6 billion. It is likely to be completed by 2061.
