JNPA, consortium of J M Baxi Ports and Logistics Limited and CMA Terminals signs concession agreement for JNPCT privatisation

The Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), CMA Terminals and the consortium of JM Baxi Ports and Logistics Limited signed a concession agreement on July 29, 2022 for privatisation of the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Container Terminal (JNPCT). JNPA has now become India’s first 100 per cent landlord major port. The new name of JNPCT will be Nhava Sheva Freeport Terminal Private Limited. Currently, five container terminals are operated at Jawaharlal Nehru Port, of which only one is owned by the port.
