Foundation stone laid for Ramayapatnam greenfield Port project

The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh laid the foundation stone for the Ramayapatnam greenfield port project on July 20, 2022. Ramaya­pat­nam port is planned to be built in two phases. The first phase is estimated to cost Rs 37.36 billion. It is proposed to have four berths – one coal berth, two container berths and one multipurpose berth with a cargo handling capacity of 25 million tonnes (mt).
