Alstom Transport India Limited handed over the first train set to Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) for the Mumbai Metro Phase I Line 3 Project (Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ) on August 2, 2022. The first set of four coaches will be used for trial runs on a 3 km tunnel stretch between the temporary facility of Sariput Nagar and the Marol Naka station. The project involves development of an underground metro rail system in Mumbai, connecting Colaba to the Santacruz Electronics Export Processing Zone (SEEPZ) via Bandra.
