The tunnelling work on the 832.5 metre Mahalaxmi-Mumbai Central strestch of the Mumbai Metro Phase I Line 3 Project (Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ) was completed on June 28, 2022. With this, the entire downline tunnel of the project has been completed. The project involves the development of an underground metro rail system in Mumbai, connecting Colaba to the Santacruz Electronics Export Processing Zone via Bandra.
