Safran Engineering to invest up to $200 million in the MRO facility in Hyderabad

The French engine maker Safran Engineering will invest up to $200 million in the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in Hyderabad. The facility will be the biggest in India to be set up by a major global engine ma­nufacturer with a capacity to handle up to 300 engine shop visits annually. It will service Leap-1A and Leap-1B engines, which acc­o­unt for the majority of Indian airlines’ orders. The construction of the facility will start in 2023 and operations in 2025.
