The Urban Development Department of Uttar Pradesh approved funds worth Rs 16.47 billion for various projects under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0 on June 20, 2022. The projects will involve upgrading the sewerage network and water supply infrastructure in Lucknow, Aligarh, Ayodhya and Gorakhpur as well as 11 other towns.
