NMCG signed two quadripartite agreements

The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) has signed two quadripartite agreements worth Rs 2.73 billion for the development of sewage infrastructure. This includes a 35 million litres per day (mld) sewage tre­at­ment plant for Maheshtala in West Bengal under HAM. One agree­me­nt is an escrow agreement among NMCG, Kolkata Metropolitan Deve­lopment Authority (KMDA), Maheshtala Waste Water Management Private Limited (MWWMPL) and Union Bank of India. The other agreement is a substitution agreement among NMCG, KMDA, MWWMPL and the Development Bank of Austria.
