Vodafone Idea in talks with Amazon, PEs for Rs 200 billion investment

Amazon and a group of investors are in discussions with the Aditya Birla Group to invest up to Rs 200 billion in Vi, the latter’s struggling wireless telephone company. The sale proceeds will be used to bid in the upcoming 5G spectrum auction and to fund the roll-out of services by the end of the year.
