ONGC first Indian exploration and production company to trade domestic gas on IGX

ONGC became the first exploration and production company to trade domestic gas on the Indian Gas Exchange (IGX) on May 23, 2022. The tra­d­ed gas on IGX was sourced from the ONGC Krishna Godavari 98/2 block. ONGC plans to steadily increase the quantum of gas sold on IGX to improve the price discovery mechanism to reflect the market dynamics more clearly.
