Austrian Development Bank OeEB has lent Euro 13 million for a sewerage treatment project at Maheshtala in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. The bank has offered the entire amount as loan to the state, making it the first European development finance institution lending to National Mission for Clean Ganga hybrid annuity model (HAM) projects. Vishvaraj Environment Private Limited, a water utility firm, is executing the project.
