MoCA is planning to bring electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft makers to the Indian market to explore the possibility of setting up a manufacturing base for such aircraft. MoCA has approached Beta Technologies, which is in partnership with the Blade Group, to explore the Indian market for eVTOLs. The Blade Group already has a presence in India with its helicopter services. The US and Canadian air forces are already deploying eVTOLs. Certification from the US Federal Aviation Administration and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency will be sought once the proof of concept is obtained.
