MoCA and the Himachal Pradesh government have signed an MoU for the construction and development of a greenfield airport in Nagchala in the district of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. The land requirement for the airport is expected to be 515 acres and the project is estimated to cost around Rs 9 billion, including the cost of land. Currently, Himachal Pradesh has three airports and five heliports, either constructed or under construction.
