MoRTH has announced the construction of the Chirner-Uran-JNPT-Chowk National Highway Project. The project involves the construction of a 32 km long road connecting Chirner via Uran-JNPT-Chowk to the Goa-Mumbai highway, Mumbai-Pune Expressway and Mumbai-Pune old highway in Panvel in the state of Maharashtra under the Bharatmala the scheme. The project entails the construction of four tunnels.
