MoP issues amendments to guidelines for TBCB process for procurement of RTC power from grid connected RE projects

The MoP has released amendments to guidelines for the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process for the procurement of round-the-clock (RTC) power from grid-connected renewable power projects, complemented with power from any other source of storage. The amendment provides that the bidder will be selected on the basis of the least quoted weighted average levellised tariff. As per the amendments, if the quantum of power allocated to the bidder is less than the total quantum of power to be contracted, the capacity allocation will be on the basis of the bucket filling method, till the tendered capacity is fully exhausted.
