HPCL to invest Rs 262.64 billion for expansion and modernisation of Visakha refinery

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) plans to invest Rs 262.64 billion towards the expansion and modernisation of its Visakha refinery. Under the Visakha refinery modernisation project, the capacity of the refinery will be expanded from the present 8.3 million tonnes per an­num (mtpa) to 15 mtpa. The project is scheduled for completion during 2022-23. The modernisation and expansion project will enable HPCL to supply Bharat Stage-VI-compliant motor fuels.
