Giddaluru-Vinukonda national highway gets nod, 112 km road to be constructed with Rs 9.25 billion

The Andhra Pradesh government is aiming to construct another new route connecting Rayalaseema and Vijayawada. From Giddaluru in Praka­sam district of Greater Rayalaseema to Vinukonda in Guntur district, a new road will be constructed. NHAI has approved the state government’s request for improved connectivity to Vijayawada. Running from Giddaluru to Vinukonda, the Rs 9.25 billion national highway project would be known as NH-544D. It was chosen to create a two-lane road through the entire length of the 112.8 km. NHAI has authorised a Rs 9.25 billion budget for this purpose. The project’s foundation stone will be laid soon. It is expected to be completed by January 2023.
