Unified licence to cover voice mail, audiotex beginning January 1, 2022, says DoT

DoT has informed that the licensing framework for audioconferencing, audiotex and voicemail services will be a part of the unified licence, going forward. Currently, stand-alone licences for services like audiotex and voicemail services are being issued by the telecom department as per the existing norms. The new framework will be effective from January 1, 2022. The licence fees of the new licensees and existing licensees will be 8 per cent of AGR, which is at par with other licensees of unified licences.
