MoCA sanctions Rs 400 million to begin the construction of the domestic terminal at Ambala airport

The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has sanctioned a grant of Rs 400 million to begin construction of the domestic terminal at Ambala airport. The project is being taken up under the Ude Desh ka Aam Nagarik-3.0 scheme of the central government to boost regional connectivity. The terminal will come up near Mama-Bhanja Peer on Jagadhri Road in the vicinity of the air force station from where passengers will be taken on a taxiway to board the aircraft. For flight operations, the air force strip will be used. Construction of the domestic terminal will start soon. The airport will facilitate flight operations to Lucknow and Srinagar.
