Indian shipping industry had a fleet of 1,491 vessels as on September 30, 2021

As on September 30, 2021, the Indian shipping industry has a fleet of 1,491 vessels with 13.11 million gross tonnage (GT) and 19.73 million deadweight tonnage (DWT). Of the total vessels, 1,025 are coastal vessels with a tonnage of 1.55 million GT (1.72 million DWT) and 466 are overseas vessels of 11.56 million GT (18.01 million DWT).
