The expert appraisal committee (EAC) of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) has granted environment clearance (EC) for Phase III of the Bengaluru-Chennai eight-lane expressway project. The project involves construction from km 156 to km 262.56, starting from Ramapuram village, Gudipala mandal in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh, to Irungattukottai village in Sriperambudur taluk, Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu.
