12 players in race for a period of 30 year deal to operate JNPT container terminal

Twelve players have participated in a global tender issued by JNPT to privatise the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Container Terminal (JNPCT). The succe­ssful bidder will get the container terminal for a period of 30 yea­rs, along with a free hand to set rates at the terminal based on market for­­ces. The container terminal was cleared for privatisation by the MoPSW in July 2021.
