MoCA inaugurates new terminal building at Dehradun’s Jolly Grant airport

MoCA inaugurated a new terminal building at Dehradun’s Jolly Grant airport on October 8, 2021. The total cost of the project was Rs 3.25 billion. The newly inaugurated building, spread over an area of 28,729 square metres, will be able to handle 1,200 passengers during peak hour, thereby expanding the capacity of the airport eightfold. The building is equipped with 36 check-in counters and four aerobridges, and has all the modern facilities such as self check-in kiosks and an inline baggage screening facility. To increase air connectivity to hilly areas, this airport will also host a helicopter service facility under the Ude Desh ka Aam Nagarik scheme.
