MoCA has recently announced a new 10-step Helicopter Policy. A dedicated helicopter accelerator cell has been set up by the ministry, which will look at all industry issues in the sector. The ministry has also activated the Heli Sewa digital platform to expedite approvals and permissions systems in the sector in a transparent manner. All landing charges will be cancelled and parking deposits will be refunded, and the policy will ensure that AAI and air traffic control officials reach out to the industry to ensure that adequate training is given to all concerned individuals regarding helicopter issues. Further, four heli hubs and training units will be set up in Mumbai, Guwahati, Delhi and Bangalore. Helicopter corridors will be set up in 10 cities and 82 routes.
