Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) plans to invest Rs 1 trillion over the next five years in raising petrochemical production capacity and improving its oil marketing infrastructure, clean fuels and gas business. These investments are expected to help BPCL diversify from conventional fuels and prepare for zero-carbon mobility in the long term. In addition, BPCL is looking to create a 1,000 MW portfolio of renewable power generation capacity through brownfield acquisitions. It is also planning to invest in forward-looking clean fuels such as biofuels and hydrogen-powered fuel.
