MoPNG approves revised project cost of Rs 280.26 billion for the Numaligarh refinery

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has approved a revised cost of Rs 280.26 billion for the Numaligarh refinery expansion project. The project involves capacity expansion of the Numaligarh refinery in Assam from 3 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) to 9 mtpa by setting up of a crude oil pipeline from Paradip port in Odisha to Numaligarh in Assam, and a product pipeline from Numaligarh to the Siliguri Marketing Termi­nal in West Bengal. Technip India Limited has been appointed as the pro­ject management consultant for the project.
