Scheduled international flights’ suspension extends till August 31, 2021

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has announced that the Covid-induced suspension of scheduled international flights has been extended till August 31, 2021. However, dedicated cargo flights and flights under the bilateral air bubble pacts with select countries will continue to operate. On August 12, 2021, the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) announced that airlines can operate up to a maximum of 72.5 per cent of their pre-Covid domestic flights. The carriers have been operating 65 per cent of their pre-Covid domestic flights since July 5, 2021 and the cap was at 50 per cent between June 1 and July 5, 2021.
