MoCA forms advisory groups to deliberate and resolve challenges faced by the aviation sector

The MoCA has formed three advisory groups comprising airlines, airport operators, cargo carriers, ground handling companies, flying training organisations and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) companies to deliberate and resolve challenges faced by the aviation sector. The groups will meet regularly to deliberate on issues and resolve challenges faced and orders have been issued for the same. The airports group will include the MoCA, minister of state, the ministry’s secretary, the director generals of the DGCA and the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, chairpersons of the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India and Airports Authority of India, the GMR group chairman, Adani group vice-president, and Bengaluru airport managing director and chief executive officer. The MRO group will consist of senior government officials and industry officials from their respective fields.
