Inland Vessels Bill, 2021 passed in Parliament

Parliament passed the Inland Vessels Bill, 2021, on August 2, 2021, thus replacing the Indian Vessels Act, 1917, in order to cater to the need for a more adaptive regime to facilitate future developments and advancements. The bill will now be sent for the President’s assent.
