RMB approves implementation of Aerocity-Tughlakabad corridor of Delhi Metro Phase IV

The Ridge Management Board approved the implementation of the 5.5 km long Aerocity-Tughlakabad corridor under the Delhi Metro Project, Phase IV, on July 14, 2021. The section will pass through morphological ridge areas at four locations, namely, Mahipalpur, Kishangarh, IGNOU and Maa Anandmayee Marg. About 1,072 trees are expected to be felled for the stretch. Meanwhile, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has proposed to extend the Rithala-Narela corridor by 5.6 km from Puth Khurd to Holambi Kalan. Upon approval, the Delhi Development Authority will provide funds worth Rs 10 billion for the corridor.
