The National Green Tribunal has sought the Central Board Pollution Control Board’s report regarding the work status and environmental impact of the Wadhwan satellite port project (Dahanu/Wadhwan port). Due to this, construction work on the project has been stalled. The project involves the development of an all-weather port at Wadhwan, 140 km north of Mumbai in Maharashtra, at an estimated cost of Rs 655.44 billion.
