A new partnership for geohazard products and solutions

Terre Armée India (Reinforced Earth India Private Limited), a  subsidiary of Soletanche-Freyssinet – a world leader in soil, hydraulic, structural and nuclear engineering – recently announced its consortium partnership with Trumer Schutzbauten, an Austria-based company specialised in engineering, testing and manufacturing of natural hazard protection barriers.

Terre Armée has been a proven solution provider in India for the past two decades, and Trumer’s superior products have been time-tested in protecting vulnerable infrastructure from rock fall, instable slopes, landslides, debris flows and snow avalanches in the European Alps for the past three decades. With this partnership, Terre Armée and Trumer will introduce their high-end engineering solutions as well as a premium range of product lines of flexible protection barriers made of high tensile wire mesh and ropes to complement their area of business in Asia, starting with the South Asian markets.

“We have the responsibility to develop and manufacture products for protecting human life from the forces of nature,” says Franz Oichtner, founder and CEO, Trumer Schutzbauten. “With this in mind, we provide safety without compromise by supplying barriers that withstand the design impact without damage or openings of the primary net structure,” adds Oichtner.

Somnath Biswas, director of Asia Zone for Terre Armée, says, “Our commitment has always been to offer intellectual products with value-added services to our esteemed customers by integrating innovative engineering solutions across the value chain. We are proud to be a part of our customers’ ecosystem and re-affirm their trust with care and confidence.”
