Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines have together invested Rs 4.65 billion in Vistara. Tata Sons, which owns 51 per cent of Vistara, pumped in Rs 2.37 billion, while Singapore Airlines, which owns the remainder, invested Rs 2.28 billion. This is the fourth capital infusion in Vistara since April 2020 to shore up its finances. The airline, like its peers, is struggling due to falling demand during the Covid-19 pandemic. Vistara’s promoters had first invested Rs 2 billion in April 2020, then Rs 7.5 billion in July 2020 and another Rs 5.85 billion in November 2020.
