NITI Aayog and the MoR have sanctioned funds from multilateral and bilateral agencies for the implementation of the Kerala semi-HSR corridor project (Silver Line). The project is being implemented by Kerala Rail Development Corporation Limited. It involves the construction of 532 km third and fourth rail lines between Thiruvananthapuram and Kasaragod. It is estimated to entail an investment of Rs 660.79 billion.
