IGX commences gas trade from two new hubs in Maharashtra

The Indian Gas Exchange (IGX) has commenced gas trade from two new hubs at Dabhol and Jaigarh in Maharashtra on April 21, 2021. With this, the exchange now has five physical gas hubs. The existing IGX gas hubs are Dahej and Hazira in Gujarat and the KG basin in Andhra Pradesh. All the existing contracts offered by the IGX – monthly, fortnightly, weekday, weekly and daily – will be made available at the new gas hubs with effect from April 20, 2021. The move is aimed at increasing the availability of natural gas on the exchange platform from additional sources, for the benefit of end consumers.
