Government of India and AFD expected to sign CFA for 24×7 Manimajra water supply project

The Department of Economic Affairs, Government of India, and the Agence Francaise de Development (AFD) are expected to sign a credit facility agreement (CFA) for the implementation of the 24×7 Manimajra water supply project by July 2021. Further, AFD and the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh are expected to sign an agreement for the development of the project by September 2021. The project is being implemented at Manimajra in Chandigarh in two phases on a pilot basis at an estimated cost of Rs 5.91 billion. The Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh has incorporated Chandigarh Smart City Limited as an SPV for the implementation of the project under the Smart City Mission.
