GoI directs major ports to waive all charges amidst Covid-19

In view of the increasing demand for oxygen and related equipment in the country due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Government of India (GoI) has directed all major ports to waive all charges. Further, the major ports have been directed to accord highest priority in the berthing sequence to vessels carrying consignments of medical grade oxygen, oxygen tanks, oxygen bottles, portable oxygen generators, oxygen concentrators, steel pipes for manufacturing oxygen cylinders and associated equipment for the next three months.
