Uttar Pradesh government has allocated funds for various road projects under Budget 2021-22

The Uttar Pradesh government has allocated funds for various road projects under Budget 2021-22. Funds worth Rs 11.07 billion have been allocated for the Purvanchal expressway project, while Rs 14.92 billion has been allocated to the Bundelkhand expressway project. Funds worth Rs 8.6 billion have been allocated for the Gorakhpur link expressway project. Apart from this, Rs 72 billion and Rs 4.89 billion has been set aside for land acquisition and construction of the Ganga expressway project respectively. Meanwhile, funds worth Rs 124.41 billion have been allocated for the construction of roads and bridges under the public works department and Rs 41.35 billion has been allocated for the maintenance of roads and bridges. Besides, funds worth Rs 6.95 billion have been proposed for connecting villages and habitations with pucca link roads. Moreover, funds worth Rs 4.4 billion have been provided for the construction of roads under the World Bank-aided Uttar Pradesh Core Road Network Project and Rs 2.08 billion for the construction of roads under the Asian Development Bank (ADB)-assisted Uttar Pradesh Mukhya Zila Vikas Pariyojana.
