NHAI introduces AI-based face recognition system for attendance monitoring

In line with its commitment to adopt technology to enhance transparency and accountability, NHAI has deployed an artificial intelligence (AI)-based face recognition system to monitor the attendance of field staff. The system also comes with a real-time location capturing feature to track the presence of personnel at the project site. Applicable to all key personnel/engineers deployed by authority engineers/independent engineers and consultants, the technology will help NHAI officers to easily verify the presence of staff at the project site. The system has also been linked with NHAI’s Big Data analytics platform, Data Lake.
