Kushinagar airport in Uttar Pradesh has received the necessary clearances from the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to operate international flights. In June 2020, the union cabinet had approved the Kushinagar airport’s status as an international facility. Once it begins operating international flights, it will become the third functional international facility in the state.
