NMCG approves revised cost for balance work of Chambal EIP project in Kota, Rajasthan

The executive committee of the National Mission for Clean Ganga has approved the revised cost of Rs 2.58 billion for the Chambal river environmental improvement plan under the Namami Gange Programme. The scope of this project involves the construction of remaining works for two sewage treatment plants of 30 mld and 6 mld capacity; six lifting/pumping stations; laying of 146 km sewer lines; tapping of 22 nallas with operations and maintenance (O&M) for a period of five years in Kota, Rajasthan. The work is expected to be completed in 15 months.
