MbPT awards three-year maintenance dredging contract to Van Oord

The Mumbai Port Trust (MbPT) has awarded the contract for maintenance dredging in approach channels, turning circles, outside berths, Indira dock basin, bunder areas and anchorages for a period of three years, 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23, to Van Oord India Private Limited. The contract value is Rs 1,379.18 million. The scope of the project work includes maintaining various areas; dredging for second chemical berth, deep water anchorages, Jawahar Dock-5 (JD-5) berth, Indira dock basin, third chemical berth and bunder areas; and dredging in other areas on assured depth basis and to required depths.
